Dramaturgy

As a dramaturg, Madeline believe that her role is to make the artist's vision come alive, whether that means working with a playwright to bring their vision from their brain to the page and then the stage, or working with a director to create a fully realized new work or a well researched production. It is all about bringing your story to life.

Madeline has worked as a dramaturg on a wide variety of productions, from classical theater to new work to dance, but she has a particular specialization in Shakespearean dramaturgy and new and devised work.

Recent projects include:

  • Scarlet Letters - Philadelphia Fringe Festival, Edinburgh Fringe
  • Hillary The First - http://hillarythefirst.tumblr.com/
  • Holden - George & Co.
  • New Voices Workshop - Philly Young Playwrights
